SHAUNA LEVY
Shauna Levy is a Canadian cultural visionary, entrepreneur and content creator. She is the former Interim CEO of byMINISTRY, an experiential lifestyle brand for the premium cannabis market. She is the co-founder of both the Interior Design Show (IDS), founder of Expo for Design Innovation & Technology (EDIT), and is the former President and CEO of Design Exchange (DX) in Toronto, Canada’s only cultural institution dedicated exclusively to the pursuit of design and innovation. During her time at the helm of Design Exchange (DX), Levy partnered with international organizations including the United Nations Development Programme, The Consulate-General of the Netherlands and governments including the Government of Ontario, and the City of Toronto. She has directed exhibits featuring Canadian and international designers and celebrated personalities, among them Pharrell Williams, Christian Louboutin, David Suzuki, Bruce Mau and Richard Florida; and her work with the Interior Design Show helped to put Toronto on the world design map. Several years ago, Shauna discovered the use of cannabis for helping to address her own chronic pain, stress and anxiety. It is now her dream to share this knowledge with women worldwide.
Kathryn from
After early careers in strategic consulting and international marketing communications, Kathryn became owner of Bravado Designs, a manufacturer of maternity and nursing lingerie. Over the span of 16 years, she built the company into the most recognized high end brand in its niche, with customers as diverse as Nordstrom, Target and Babies R Us, and a slew of celebrity moms as devoted clients. In 2011 she sold Bravado to Medela AG, the world’s leading breastfeeding company, and left Bravado at the end of 2013. Kathryn is the Founder of Wonderment Ventures, a company that provides capital and expertise to start ups across a variety of consumer sectors. Its current portfolio includes companies in apparel, food, tech toy, gaming and retail distribution. Kathryn also coaches select entrepreneurs in creative industries such as apparel, design, accessories and jewelry. Kathryn is a recipient of the Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award, an 8 time W100 top 100 Women Entrepreneurs of the Year, and was a member of the Canadian government’s Small Business Export Advisory Board. She was also a long time member of the Toronto International Film Festival Group’s Marketing Advisory Board. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and an MBA from INSEAD.
Alena Bailey
Alena is an experienced, award-winning lawyer with a strong background in corporate governance and the regulatory, financial services and public sector. She provides legal and strategic advice to senior public sector officials in multiple areas on various high profile issues relating to policy, draft legislation, corporate governance and transactional matters. In previous roles in the financial services sector, she provided legal and strategic advice on matters related to regulatory, risk, compliance, corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and capital markets. Alena is active on various legal industry and practice groups, sits on a number of voluntary Boards, and is passionate about supporting initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion and women in leadership positions. She is a member of the Ontario Bar Association and its Mentorship Program), Canadian Bar Association, and the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association.
